Baler.ph is an independent travel guide operated by James Moy. This notice explains how the site handles information in its current form. For privacy requests, email contact@baler.ph.
What happens when you browse
The guide does not have accounts, booking forms, payments, advertising pixels or analytics installed by us. Directory searches and filters run in your browser. We do not receive your search words through a site form. Our hosting provider may process technical request information such as an IP address and browser details to deliver and secure the site; its handling is described in OpenAI’s privacy policy. We do not control the provider’s logs or retention.
When you email us
If you contact us, we receive your email address, message and any details you choose to include. We use them to answer you, review a listing or handle a correction or privacy request. Messages sent to contact@baler.ph are forwarded by our domain email provider to the operator’s mailbox. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information unless it is needed for your request. We keep correspondence while handling and documenting the request, and remove it when it is no longer needed, subject to applicable requirements. We do not sell your message or use it for marketing.
Links and maps
Listings may link to OpenStreetMap, a business page, a map search or another external site. When the homepage map comes into view, or you choose Map view in a directory, your browser loads map software from a content delivery network and map tiles from OpenStreetMap. Those providers receive technical request information such as your IP address. Map view does not request your device location. External services apply their own privacy policies, which we do not control.
Surf forecast
When the forecast comes into view, your browser contacts Open-Meteo for weather data for a fixed Baler location. Your device location is not requested. The provider receives technical request information such as your IP address under its privacy policy. Forecast data is cached in your browser for one hour to reduce repeat requests. You can clear it through your browser’s site data settings.
Your choices
You may ask us what personal information you have emailed, request a correction or deletion where applicable, or raise a privacy concern at contact@baler.ph. We may need to verify that a request concerns your own information. If our features or providers change, this notice will be updated.
